Legislative Affairs Council Presents: “Into the Lion’s Den – the Kidnapping Crisis in Iraq”
Tampa, FL (November 1, 2006) – The Navy League of the United States & The Tampa Bay Chapter of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association are proud to host a Legislative Affairs Council Presentation of “Into the Lion’s Den – the Kidnapping Crisis in Iraq” at the Feather Sound Country Club on Wednesday, November 8, 2006.
Presentation will be given by Dan O’Shea, who served as coordinator of the Hostage Working Group in Baghdad from July 2004 to April 2006. He will share his experiences, lessons learned and discuss future threats posed by hostage-taking groups and the connection between kidnappings and the Global War on Terrorism.
Former American Hostage, Roy Hallums will make a guest appearance at the presentation, while being reunited with Dan O’Shea, one of the men who worked behind the scenes to secure his rescue.
